Dawn

Written: © Maxima

It is dark and there is no day to dawn for me.
Sometimes in times of tenderness
I catch myself staring at the horizon.
I heal with sunsets.
A tear in my eye guides me at that time,
I’m not used to it yet.
The rhythm of heart beats tremble heavily,
Embracing the glass that holds the magic of drunkenness.
I’m healing a broken heart.
Because here it is dark
And there is no day to dawn for me.

  1. I wish you could have seen the tangerine sun earlier today, I bet it would have inspired. Unfortunately, I think it’s due to the pollution of the fires out west. Much depth in your poem.
